How often do we hear this? The key to happiness is an abundant life or abundance is all around us, go claim it!

So please explain abundance?

Is it really defined as plenty or wealth? Why do we so often try to live a life of abundance with only a definition of plenty, quantity, or wealth? Personally, I so tyre of setting goals, planning our lives and more centered around “how much we have or how much more we can get.” Is an abundant life how much we can have to show off? Really?

Please do not miss understand what I am saying. It is ok to have money and wonderful things. We surely have every right to live well.

As my own live has unfolded and many material possessions have come, gone, and come again it has become clear that having the trappings of things really is not living in abundance. Not for me anyway.

I have found that having a circle of friends, people who like me have discovered that giving of yourself to another human, living in gratitude, always helping others with compassion in one’s heart, being that friend or just an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. I have learned living abundantly means being involved in my community, being of service, when possible. Living each day with love first in your heart, striving to become a better version of yourself each day.

I used to wonder why some people seemed to always be at peace in their own skin or the surroundings they were part of at any given time. Then one day several years ago I remember waking and feeling a powerful sense of pease in my soul. I had begun to realize everything will be ok. This is when I knew who I was and I was comfortable in my own skin. Much like a tailored suit of cloths had wrapped itself around my whole life. It was then that my greatest desire had shifted. My life has become that of a man who wishes to be that concierge helping others find the peace I know and understand. Helping others realize they too can design their lives. It is when we surrender to a power greater than ourselves that then and only then, we can become the person we are meant to be.

It is my personal wish and prayer that everyone in this world can find that special set of tailored clothes to wrap around their lives. Blessings,

When I think about insurance my first thoughts usually go to paying the premiums on my car, home or health insurance. So as I contemplate paying these premiums I’m caused to think about all the types of insurance and the premiums we have in our lives.

As an example what premium do we pay to have a safe and secure life? What premium do we pay to have a happy spouse or family? When sending our children to school and incur-raging their success or how about our careers? When we work hard everyday taking care of our minds our health and keeping a positive attitude isn’t that a form of insurance and intern isn’t this the premium we pay to have all God wants us to have? How about our spiritual and integrity standards? And what about our compassion and empathy for others? Would offering a hand up to someone in need be insurance?

A dear friend told me once that we may not always want to be present however that is when our presence is most often needed. As I look over my own life and all the self-centered behaviors and actions of my past, it occurs to me that those behaviors were literally my avoidance of paying the premium to insure the peaceful life I had always wanted.

Our lives are filled with premiums to pay and when we do, our life is certainly insured. So today I think; it’s a great joy to be here and able to continue to pay all these insurance premiums!
